We're getting married and we would love you to join us to celebrate

We'll be getting married in the picturesque foothills of the Polish mountains. In keeping with Polish tradition, the wedding will take place over two days, from Saturday 27th to Sunday 28th July 2024.

We'll be transporting, feeding, watering and vodka'ing you for the whole weekend - so all you need to do is to get to Wroclaw for Saturday morning (or come earlier and enjoy the city for a few days).

Accommodation will be taken care of for the Saturday night, however, we would recommend staying for the Sunday night to fully enjoy the second day. You'll be able to arrange your second night for a very reasonable discounted price at a later date.

Marta and Harry's
Wedding

Saturday 27th to Sunday 28th July 2024.

Wroclaw, Poland

Please RSVP by 27 August 2023

The Venue

We've chosen the beautiful Hotel Dębowy as our location for the weekend. A huge gothic mansion with all the modern facilities you need (plus a health spa to detox in). More importantly, it is located on 11 acres of woodland with no neighbours to complain about noise and suspect dancing.

Getting there

We will be providing transport to the venue from Wroclaw on the day and back on Monday. If needed, taxis from the city to the venue will cost approximately £60 (at the time of writing).

Wroclaw

A post-industrial landscape neglected by an imploding government, blighted by ugly brutalist communist-era architecture, a brutalist football team, and a brutalist population has sadly meant that we have had to rule Swindon out.

Luckily, Marta's hometown, Wroclaw (yes, that's in Poland and not pronounced how you think it is!) is the amazing city that you'll be travelling to.

For those coming from the UK, you'll be able to marvel at the baroque buildings, good nightlife (no sign of ridiculous drinking curfew hour), affordable prices and 300 gnome statues.

The centre is full of amazing bars and restaurants and the rest of the city is surrounded by rivers and islands perfect for a drink in the sunshine.

We love the city and recommend trying to come for a couple of days before or staying after the wedding (if you are feeling brave). Some hotel, bars, and tourist attractions recommendations to follow closer to the date.

You can find out more on Lonely Planet.

Getting there

You can fly from Stanstead with Ryanair or Luton with WizzAir (sorry!) directly to Wroclaw. Most other major airports will offer connecting flights via Warsaw or London.

The Big Days

On day one will be a mix of English and Polish traditions including the ceremony, lots of food, drinks, and dancing. And some more food, followed by even more drinking. Then additional food and drinking. We promise a variety of all three things.

Music will follow a strict Kendal Roy curation process.

We'll be catering to everyone's (complex London) dietary needs and drinking habits and will follow up later with details and some super interesting surveys.

The party goes on for quite a bit (to the early hours) so we recommend some solid drinking training.

On day two, we'll be doing a big BBQ and dancing to some tunes to make use of the huge outdoor space. There will be more alcohol! We won't care that you don't really fancy it. Tradition is tradition and it would be rude to disobey.

If you would like to stay over for Sunday night to make the most of the BBQ, you can book the same room for an extra night at a later date.
We are definitely staying!

Children

We've decided to have a child-free wedding. Let us know about your travel plans if you are bringing your families and we can help with arrangements for childcare and accommodation.

Babies

We appreciate that it's a year away and there might be some very small additions to your families that can't be left with old gullible family members or babysitters. We should be able to accommodate you all, please let us know nearer the time.
